We Are Responsible

At Waverly we believe there are many who need our support in order to accomplish their important goals. We also believe that businesses have a responsibility to help.

Over the years, Waverly has supported the American Red Cross, the Baer School, the Building Congress & Exchange, the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation, Family Tree, Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen, and countless others.

Support has ranged from our staff volunteering on weekends to building homes for Habitat for Humanity. We have walked for a cure for breast cancer and have participated on various Boards for local and national organizations. Support for these activities is an intrinsic part of the values of the staff and principals of Waverly.

Ed Audy has been an active member of the William S. Baer School’s Private Partnership Board. The Baer School is a Baltimore City Public School, entirely focused on the therapeutic needs of severely handicapped children. The mission of this Board is to undertake projects to raise funds to help support the needs of students. In addition, Mr. Audy has worked on Habitat for Humanity projects for over three years. Ed feels that the satisfaction of using his construction skills to benefit the people of Baltimore’s Sandtown Community is a reward that has far outweighed time set aside to his bi-monthly day of service.

Jef Eyring, who helped organize sailing programs for physically and socially disadvantaged residents of Baltimore, has also volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 15 years. Jef served on the Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Region of the American Red Cross, as Director-In-Charge of International Services, which included Holocaust and war victim tracing efforts. Jef was also responsible for Health and Human Services; the Red Cross department disseminating life-saving and safety training programs. As a past President and current advisor to the Building Congress & Exchange Foundation, he has been active in supporting and encouraging the development of programs which benefit youth, the design and construction industries, and the community.

Ed Brnich spent many years as a fireman and Captain in the Howard County Volunteer Fire Department. During his tenure with the Fire Department, Ed was involved in numerous life-saving situations as a result of fires and emergencies threatening Howard County residents.

Waverly Construction & Management’s story is much more than just donating money. It is a story of a company committed to helping those who need help and in the process; helping each other.
